More than 150 years ago Wilhelm Heinrich Schuessler from Oldenburg in Germany established that there are 12 essential minerals in our body. We need them all – in the right balance – to keep healthy in body and mind. If you don’t eat well; work hard; stress and worry about things; or sit in front of a computer all day; or if you don’t sleep well; it can deplete you of these essential minerals! You then develop niggling symptoms that only seem to get worse over time. Often the focus is on the symptoms and never really targets the cause. Note: Minerals do not interact in any way with medications you may be taking.

What do Minerals do?
Minerals are essential for growth, healing, vitality and wellbeing. They provide structural support in your bones and teeth, and they maintain your body’s pH and water balance, nerve activity, muscle contractions, energy production and enzyme reactions. They are the basic ‘spark plugs’ of the chemistry of life.
What happens if you are lacking in minerals?
Many health conditions are aggravated by mineral imbalances and toxic metal excesses, including cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, migraines, learning difficulties and hyperactivity in children, to name just a few.
Ideally you should get all the minerals you need from a balanced diet. Unfortunately, today this is rarely possible. Modern farming techniques, fertilisers and depleted soils reduce the mineral content of foods. Environmental pollutants, chemical food additives and stressful lifestyles also have a detrimental effect on your nutritional status.
Nutrition involves more than eating three meals a day, relying on ‘good’ food, or randomly taking supplements. Vitamins and minerals are essential to good health, but how they function together is essential to our health and wellbeing.
Care is needed as the use of dietary supplements can induce deficiencies, especially when large intakes of single vitamins or minerals are taken. For example, large doses of Vitamin C may help alleviate the symptoms of a cold or flu, but it can lower copper in the body making you more susceptible to bacterial infections. Too much calcium (for brittle bones or osteoarthritis) can actually lead to a deficiency of phosphorus and magnesium, contributing to the very condition you are trying to prevent.
Many people are led to believe they are depleted in vitamins, when in reality it is more likely to be minerals. (Typical supplements today contain a variety of minerals and vitamins and may have ingredients which can actually cancel one another out).

They are easy to take as they dissolve in the mouth and absorbed directly into the blood where they are more effective (they must NOT be swallowed). So no matter the age (infants, children or adults) all can benefit.
In acute situations – possibly within minutes! (e.g. reducing temperature)
You cannot become dependent on them.
Tissue Salts can be taken with any medications.
Firstly, they do not have to be ‘taken for the rest of your life’; However, it can take weeks or months. In cases of chronic illness or symptoms, it usually takes longer to rebuild and purify the system, (everyone is different), but the more regularly you take them, the better the results.
Diabetics can take the tissue salts, as each tablet is equivalent to only 0.021BU. If you are lactose intolerant or gluten intolerant, this can be a sign of mineral deficiency, however there are different types (globules) and ways of taking them, so they don’t create any discomfort. Tissue salts are absorbed via the tissues of the mouth directly into the bloodstream, therefore do not go through stomach acid or impact on the intestines.
We use only the tried and proven minerals produced in Germany by DHU in accordance with the Dr. Schuessler formulation.
Initial Consultation for Mineral Therapy
Can be just over 1hr – $80
Allow just over an hour. A case history is taken and notes recording your concerns. Mineral Therapy is explained and any questions responded to. Depending on your situation, it may be determined and discussed that Kinesiology may be the first approach to address your circumstances. At this appointment you may have your photograph taken (facial diagnostics so no makeup or moisturiser please). You will also be asked to complete a questionnaire of past and current symptoms.
- We take a medical history, noting any past emotional trauma you are ready to include
- Then we explore your issues and concerns and the changes you want to make
- You will remain fully clothed and comfortable lying on a massage table (seated or standing if needed)
- Children must be accompanied by a parent or approved guardian
To be determined if with or without Kinesiology. May be between 1 – 1.5hrs – $80 or $120
It may have been determined that results will be better achieved with a combination of Kinesiology along with relevant minerals that have been found to be deficient. This will continue to be reviewed at regular intervals confirming what is still needed, dosage and duration, etc.
- We are complex beings and while 1-2 sessions will begin to make the changes you want and desire, more sessions are beneficial. Things can change in ways you wouldn’t have thought possible before and most people want to keep healthy changes occurring as their life gets better and better.

We decided to try hormone treatment and after three months the amount I was losing was reduced by half, with no clots.
The colour had improved, it was no longer offensive and my headaches were reduced and sometimes none at all.
When I checked with my doctor I was no longer anaemic (so therefore did not require the recommended hysterectomy). 10 months later my periods remain unchanged and headaches are minimal.
Finally sleeping 7hrs
After 30 years of only getting 2 hours at a time, I’m a different person.
A healthier start to Pregnancy
My partner and I had been trying to start a family and not knowing if this would take a long time it was suggested that Hormonal Bowen treatment might help (with ovulation, etc). Within 3 months I was pregnant and my baby is now due anytime soon (in late May)!!
I also discussed my anxiety, sleeping problems and fluid retention, and the benefits of mineral therapy that would not only benefit me, but the health of my baby. I decided to give it a go as I’m always striving to eliminate my anxiety.
After taking the minerals for about 3-4 weeks I noticed subtle changes: going straight to sleep; better sleep; feeling good at work; thinking less of work and less of unnecessary things; no stomach cramps from food and a less puffy looking face. My anxiety seems to be a thing of the past.
I continued mineral therapy and specific ‘Pregnancy Bowen’ throughout my pregnancy and felt very fit and healthy with no back pain or swelling and sleeping really well. Sweating Restored to Normal
Over the years, doctors said there was nothing I could do. Therefore it became a way of life. That was until I visited Brilliant Living Solutions (April 2013) and learned about about the balance of minerals.
Explainations about the body and the deficiency of minerals all made sense. Within the second week I was only getting very hot, there was no sweat. I can live with getting hot.
After all these years, I am not embarrassed when I become hot. I am so pleased I met you.
Pain Reduced, Sleeping Improved
My legs had always been a problem and having a car accident at about 13 didn’t help (ran over my legs). The pain was constant and the only way I could sleep at night was to put my legs up against the wall for 30-40 mins, which would provide some relief (allowing about an hour’s sleep), before I would have to go through the routine again. Not much sleep for years really.
Bowen helped to some degree (certainly with the sciatica), but it wasn’t until I was put onto minerals in January 2013 that I noticed a marked improvement. It was slow at first and I was reassured that if I stuck with it, it should help improve my aching legs and therefore my ability to sleep. Since taking the minerals I’ve noticed improvement in things I didn’t expect. My eczema improved and I no longer bite my nails.
More importantly, as the muscle pain receded my sleeping improved. Within twelve months I was sleeping at least 7-8 hours a night. I no longer had to put my legs up against the wall and pain medication is now seldom required. I can leave off the minerals for longer periods, so I can now see the future being consistently pain free, with quality sleep. The minerals will always be there if needed, but I will no longer be reliant on them like I have been on the drugs.
A decade of Back Pain, Spasms & Rib Pain
I have tried the medical profession, who investigated for “nasties”, and finding nothing just gave me drugs to help deaden the pain and knock me out. I tried physiotherapy, chiropractic, osteopathy, acupuncture, Pilates, Tai Chi, swimming and gym. Some of these things reduced the problem for a short time, but then it came back.
Some helped me cope; but still gradually it was getting worse. I was unable to sleep on my back, or on my left side at all, and could manage half an hour on my right side and a little longer on my stomach. I was getting spasms when I walked, and gradually my function was deteriorating and the future was looking pretty grim.
I hadn’t tried Bowen Therapy or Tissue salts (aka Mineral Therapy). A thorough assessment was done and I was started on tissue salts. Nothing dramatic, so we decided to try the Bowen as well, as the body was so locked in bad patterns and dysfunctional muscle spasms, that it needed more help to release itself. I had 9 treatments over 5 months.
Each session my therapist would listen intently and attempt to understand every little ache and pain I described. They would try moves that they thought would help, and if they didn’t know they went to no end of trouble to try and find out what might be causing the pain and (develop) strategies to work on it. Gradually over the weeks the muscles relaxed and the body began to right itself.
Like pealing the layers of an onion, they worked through each issue as it presented and released the muscles and thereby the pain. I was able to sleep on my left side again for the first time in 5 years. I have even managed to sleep for 8 hours in one go, although not consistently. I no longer take the non-steroidal anti-inflammatories or the heavy duty pain medication the Dr had prescribed.
My posture has improved and I can walk without spasms. I am not totally pain free, but my quality of life is so much improved I am eternally grateful, as it is only these things (minerals & Bowen) that have managed to sustain an improvement for more than a few weeks.
