There are many types of pain. Mental pain; emotional pain; spiritual pain; but mostly people associate with physical pain. Pain itself, and consequently the fear of pain, can cause you to avoid both physical and social activities. Over time this not only leads to less physical strength (it hurts too much to work your body in any way, so you stop running or going to the gym) so you also lose functionality too. Weaker social relationships develop too (you get fed up with having to explain yourself ‘again’, and you realise people just don’t want to hear about it anymore – their sympathy only goes so far).
The mental stress and biologic psychological effects of pain can be just as severe as the pain itself. In fact, people with chronic pain are three times more likely to develop depression. Balancing the body and finding the cause creates relief and calm that overflow in every area of your life.
Anxiety involves excessive worrying or stress about specific situations or aspects of a person’s life. Anxiety can disrupt your life by impacting your home life, work life, and your social life, your self-confidence and ability to complete daily tasks at work or school. Constant anxiety will impact on your digestive system (common complaints are initially about digestion mistakenly being considered the main issue). It will affect your mood, and your behaviour in general; your sleep patterns (you just can’t get to sleep as your mind won’t stop, or you are constantly waking up and finding it difficult to get back to sleep – you wake tired every day). More importantly it will lower your immune system, making you a lot more vulnerable. It will get worse over time and the adrenalin that is constantly released (which is a hormone), disrupts other systems of the body, but eventually if it goes on long enough, adrenal fatigue becomes an issue and that is hard to come back from. We find the cause behind the anxiety, and it becomes a thing of the past.
Panic is made worse by stress, and stress can cause a panic attack! They are often due to experiences that have overwhelmed the mind and by events or situations that haven’t been processed properly (nowadays there is just no time to do that). Unfortunately, they are becoming more and more common. Frequently they can happen abruptly, with little or no notice. They impact on your life. They stop you from doing things, because you are fearful that it is going to happen when you are out, or driving, or in a crowd, on an airplane, in the middle of a business meeting, or at a party. Let’s face it, there is NEVER a convenient time! They can transform your life and you can develop other problems such as depression, mistrust, irritability, and constant anxiety. Often you are a person who tends to solve and get through your problems yourself. You do not accept that you are experiencing something you can’t control. It becomes a struggle to admit your experience comes from your mind and not your body. We can work to provide you peace of mind by finding the cause behind your overwhelming and unprocessed experiences.
Anger has its place, sure. However, the body goes into fight/flight response and floods the body with stress hormones (adrenalin & cortisol). This means it also shunts blood away from the gut and towards muscles in readiness for exertion. So eventually with constant anger episodes, it not only makes it difficult to solve problems and change behaviour, but it will affect your digestions (see Stress and Anxiety above). If it starts to rule your days and you blow up at things that others see as small problems, it’s time to do something about it. Unexplained and habitual anger disrupts you living life and if it is aimed at a child or partner, starts to create a negative impact on their behaviour towards you. You are likely to make poor choices as well as damage your relationships – seek assistance before it turns to physical violence. Vented anger after all, can also be considered mental and emotional abuse. Often there is a cause behind the unreasonable anger; we find that cause without you having to relive any bad experiences you may have suffered, therefore can create a better perspective on life and reduce soaring blood pressure and other associated health problems too.
This can simply be related to lack of understanding what certain foods do to the body, but more often develops from emotional eating, as comfort food/drink makes you feel marginally better for a short period of time. This becomes a habit very quickly; before long the microbiome of the gut sends signals ‘demanding’ certain foods be eaten. Often called ‘craving’, but it’s a demand nevertheless; for more sugar or the foods/drinks that create glucose in the body. The body cannot cope adequately with this and starts to store fatty tissue, usually around the middle and you start to put on weight.
The cycle seems difficult to break, but certain protocols, coupled with your determination to lose these devastating habits, can be a lot easier to overcome than you’d think.
Low confidence and lack of self-esteem often go hand in hand. The consequences are that you are overlooked at work, you aren’t listened to or just not heard at all. You’d rather stay in your comfort zone because it reduces your risk of failure. You often feel inadequate and question your abilities. You may sabotage yourself constantly as you lack trust in yourself to be able to do any job as well as you think others would do it – so sometimes you just choose not to even try. This makes you feel safe as you can’t fail, but then you feel utter frustration and disappointment that you didn’t just try, and it begins to undermine your self-esteem.
Not having the confidence to confront issues at work or with your family, can have a negative effect on your health and well-being. This does not have to be the end result though, as we get to the cause and defuse it. Giving you back your self-worth and the power of self. My fear of flying has disappeared
I had a huge fear of flying (having panic attacks) and this (therapy) has made that all disappear. I found myself being uptight and anxious in day to day duties but this has all resolved. No anxiety or extra stress.

A healthier start to Pregnancy
My partner and I had been trying to start a family and not knowing if this would take a long time it was suggested that Hormonal Bowen treatment might help (with ovulation, etc). Within 3 months I was pregnant and my baby is now due anytime soon (in late May)!!
I also discussed my anxiety, sleeping problems and fluid retention, and the benefits of mineral therapy that would not only benefit me, but the health of my baby. I decided to give it a go as I’m always striving to eliminate my anxiety.

General Wellbeing & Oedema
After the very first treatment, I was able to raise my arms fully above my head. I was so amazed I burst into tears as I had not been able to do that for many years. It felt so wonderful. I was also able to stand straight and walk more easily.
Later I was treated for fluid retention and it wasn’t long before I had to literally purchase new clothes as the old clothes were now so loose they were falling off me. I lost so much ‘weight’ with the fluid, that walking is much easier; turning over in bed is done with virtual ease. A decade of Back Pain, Spasms & Rib Pain
I have tried the medical profession, who investigated for “nasties”, and finding nothing just gave me drugs to help deaden the pain and knock me out. I tried physiotherapy, chiropractic, osteopathy, acupuncture, Pilates, Tai Chi, swimming and gym. Some of these things reduced the problem for a short time, but then it came back.
Some helped me cope; but still gradually it was getting worse. I was unable to sleep on my back, or on my left side at all, and could manage half an hour on my right side and a little longer on my stomach. I was getting spasms when I walked, and gradually my function was deteriorating and the future was looking pretty grim.
I hadn’t tried Bowen Therapy or Tissue salts (aka Mineral Therapy). A thorough assessment was done and I was started on tissue salts. Nothing dramatic, so we decided to try the Bowen as well, as the body was so locked in bad patterns and dysfunctional muscle spasms, that it needed more help to release itself. I had 9 treatments over 5 months.
Each session my therapist would listen intently and attempt to understand every little ache and pain I described. They would try moves that they thought would help, and if they didn’t know they went to no end of trouble to try and find out what might be causing the pain and (develop) strategies to work on it. Gradually over the weeks the muscles relaxed and the body began to right itself.
Like pealing the layers of an onion, they worked through each issue as it presented and released the muscles and thereby the pain. I was able to sleep on my left side again for the first time in 5 years. I have even managed to sleep for 8 hours in one go, although not consistently. I no longer take the non-steroidal anti-inflammatories or the heavy duty pain medication the Dr had prescribed.
My posture has improved and I can walk without spasms. I am not totally pain free, but my quality of life is so much improved I am eternally grateful, as it is only these things (minerals & Bowen) that have managed to sustain an improvement for more than a few weeks.

Sweating Restored to Normal
Over the years, doctors said there was nothing I could do. Therefore it became a way of life. That was until I visited Brilliant Living Solutions (April 2013) and learned about about the balance of minerals.

Following a Booster Shot
After receiving the first two doses of the Pfizer (injections against my wishes, but mandated due to working in the public health system otherwise I would lose my job), I started to get quite sharp neuropathic pain in my hands and feet, along with tiredness, brain fog and a general sense of not feeling right within myself.
Thanks to Susan, a session Pandemic Support has helped the neuropathic pain disappear and the levels of tiredness and brain fog lift somewhat.
However, it was after I received my third dose (booster - also mandated) of the Pfizer that some of these symptoms exacerbated and became extremely debilitating. The impact of this started within a couple of hours of receiving the booster shot with a wave of tiredness, the level of which I had not ever felt before. The level of tiredness steadily worsened, as I was unable to sleep properly with constant waking. This in turn impacted on me further by exacerbating brain fog, lack of concentration and motivation. By the end of that week [I was so exhausted] it felt like I was dragging a concrete block around behind me, the brain fog was so absolute it was extremely difficult to concentrate or motivate myself to do my job, and it was a mammoth effort just to get out of bed to tackle the day. I had never felt worse in my entire life!!
Thankfully I had arranged a follow up session with Susan for a week after the booster dose.
After my session, the immediate lift in energy was amazing. I had the first full night’s sleep in what felt like forever and the amount of energy when I woke the next morning was unbelievable!! The brain fog had lifted, and my concentration was back in full. Motivation was at an all-time high and work, although extremely busy, felt like it was easy and flowed well, probably due to the improved brain clarity.
What truly tested this was that the weekend after my session I worked an extremely long day at a polling booth for the State Election from 7.00am to 11.00pm, after having worked in my regular full-time job that week. I truly did not know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised that I coped extremely well with this, and my energy levels were the same throughout the entire day, despite not having many breaks throughout the long day.
A couple of weeks down the track I am pleased to report that my energy levels are still good, I am still sleeping well and the brain fog has not returned.

We decided to try hormone treatment and after three months the amount I was losing was reduced by half, with no clots.
The colour had improved, it was no longer offensive and my headaches were reduced and sometimes none at all.
When I checked with my doctor I was no longer anaemic (so therefore did not require the recommended hysterectomy). 10 months later my periods remain unchanged and headaches are minimal.

Pain Reduced, Sleeping Improved
My legs had always been a problem and having a car accident at about 13 didn’t help (ran over my legs). The pain was constant and the only way I could sleep at night was to put my legs up against the wall for 30-40 mins, which would provide some relief (allowing about an hour’s sleep), before I would have to go through the routine again. Not much sleep for years really.
Bowen helped to some degree (certainly with the sciatica), but it wasn’t until I was put onto minerals in January 2013 that I noticed a marked improvement. It was slow at first and I was reassured that if I stuck with it, it should help improve my aching legs and therefore my ability to sleep. Since taking the minerals I’ve noticed improvement in things I didn’t expect. My eczema improved and I no longer bite my nails.
More importantly, as the muscle pain receded my sleeping improved. Within twelve months I was sleeping at least 7-8 hours a night. I no longer had to put my legs up against the wall and pain medication is now seldom required. I can leave off the minerals for longer periods, so I can now see the future being consistently pain free, with quality sleep. The minerals will always be there if needed, but I will no longer be reliant on them like I have been on the drugs.
